Assuming Bush wins re-election, and assuming the Republicans keep control of the Senate, I would expect the judicial confirmation logjam to finally burst at that point.
I was very disappointed with Clarence Thomas since he wimped out in the crucial decision of June 26, 2003, John Geddes Lawrence and Tyron Garner vs. Texas, upholding my right to privacy in my own home, but at least he wasn’t as demagogic as Scalia. Even so, I’m still glad he’s on the Supreme Court, I’m glad he won in the face of the smear campaign against him. And I hear that that he has a good record on the First Amendment. I would expect that he would uphold the Second Amendment, too, if that ever comes before the Supreme Court. I certainly hope so.
I’ll go on record that I don’t think Thomas is qualified to be Chief Justice (in fairness, a lot of the men who have served in the position haven’t been

You’re joking right? Well, at least we know that pornography won’t be outlawed. As for pubic hair on soda cans – DEATH PENALTY!!!
