I had a friend in Syria, a university professor, who wrote a book essentially titled “What the Ottomans Gave the Arabs”. He couldn’t get it published anywhere in the Arab world as it went so against ‘common wisdom’.
Maybe, when the history books are written 300 years from now, there’ll be a better perspective on what’s been going on now for the past 100 years.

John, I have great respect for you and Dean when it comes to our history. Do you think our history books tell the truth like I do and the great books that are written today?

I went to see a movie and just got back. I think I answered my own question. I do hope in the next hundred years to have great history books like we do now.
