How To Win A Political Convention

Karl Rove, one of the smartest men in politics, has some very astute observations and recommendations for the Clinton and Obama teams.

Paranoid observers will be looking for reasons to think Rove is playing political mind games here, but just read the article and you’ll see he’s not. It’s all very smart advice, and is in no way a hit piece for the GOP.

I don’t see how anything he said would be cosidered partisan. In fact, it is pretty much in his wheelhouse, what he excelled at. The interesting question is whether Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama have someone that thinks like that AND has the candidate’s trust and okay to do what needs to be done. I have been disappointed that neither of the Senators seem to have this kind of experience to do this.

It has been the misfortune of the Democrats that Howard Dean has been running their national show while Karl Rove has been ringmastering the Republicans.

Now everyone can see why Mr Rove was the political mainstay of the two Bush administrations. He has my profound respect.
