This would be hilariously funny if it weren’t so true. I bet you the so called truthers would debate the very Bin Laden on this.

“Why is Osama bin Laden safe in… somewhere…”

Awesome.

Brilliant? I got about halfway and turned it off out of boredom.

How anyone can do other than roll their eyes at conspiracy theorists is hard to fathom.

Uh, you are aware that it was a joke, right?

Conspiracy theorists are like many religionists. Conspiracy theories and religion have a lot in common in fact. And I’m saying this as an unashamed fundamentalist Bible-thumper!

Conspiracy theorists believe 1) they are in possession of unique revelation – they know the whole truth, 2) the more attempts that are made to disprove them the further they are convinced that the “truth” is being covered up, and 3) it is impossible to prove them wrong as concrete proof isn’t required to believe a conspiracy theory – only a willingness to believe.

How is that not a religion? How is that not faith?

So, remember that when you attack the foundational evidence of a conspiracy theorist’s opinion, you are attacking doctrines of faith. And, as the Bible tells us, faith is believing in that which is not seen.

Tom: I’m pretty sure none of us had the slightest idea that this was anything but a legitimate news broadcast of a serious issue. [rolls eyes]

Kevin: Quite astute.

I occassionally have interesting things to say. It’s not all comic books, video games, and scifi with me, boy-o!
