BET Founder Says Ferraro Was Right

The founder of Black Entertainment Television, Bob Johnson, told the Charlotte Observer yesterday that he thinks former Clinton campaign advisor Geraldine Ferraro was correct when she stated Barak Obama would not be the leading Democratic candidate if he were white.

“What I believe Geraldine Ferraro meant is that if you take a freshman senator from Illinois called `Jerry Smith’ and he says I’m going to run for president, would he start off with 90 percent of the black vote?” Johnson said. “And the answer is, probably not… .”

Ferraro was forced to step down from her position in the Clinton campaign because of her comments. One must wonder now if the “color blind” left will demand similiar concessions from Johnson.

It was ridiculous. Obama himself in the past has said almost word for word the same thing as Ferraro. Yeesh.
