Holy shit, John McCain is old! I didn’t know that! Did anyone else know that? I’ve never heard it mentioned before until this very moment. It’s, like, completely new and fresh to me. No way is this joke gonna get old. Nope. No it is not.
That was about as funny as John Stewart usually is. Meaning it must appeal at some level to some people who seem to have had their comedic growth arrested at about the age of Opie Taylor.
But then again, I think that more or less describes Stewart’s audience, so he clearly knows what his people like.

At Annapolis, wouldn’t he have been a midshipman rather than a cadet?
I believe that’s the practice, although I think “cadet” is also OK as a generic term.
That is so funny!

On the flip side, this is a great way to get all of the “McCain is old!” jokes out of the way at once.

CosmicConservative’s last blog post..Goracle sighting? at The Sun
See, now, I’ve seen enough of McCain on TV that I think he’d laugh himself silly at this routine, and most of his campaign staff probably enjoyed it.
McCain is not my guy. But at this point, if a dog ran on the Republican ticket, even a very old dog, I’ld vote Republican.
