Apparently, they’re walking away from plans to acquire Yahoo, after months of looking at trying to do it.
Although I don’t necessarily think it would have been a good thing for consumers, I do think it was a good choice for Microsoft. I wonder what they’ll do now?

I’d be surprised if it’s really over. Oracle pulled a similar stunt with a target last year – withdrew the offer, got the shareholders on their side, then came back as a "white knight."
Yahoo shareholders are going to freak.
