My cat does something very similar, but not as extensive. However, when reprimanded, she will answer back and with attitude, just like a child would.
My cat, who is a Maine Coon/Siamese hybrid (as near as we can figure) displays this behavior a lot. He also squeaks.
I think it is fairly normal behavior among female cats. Over the years I have had several that displayed this type of seemingly communicative behavior.
I don’t recall ever seeing it in males though.
Hmm. That’s interesting. I wonder if it has something to do with trying to attract the attention of their kittens?
