Rove On Obama

Karl Rove, who has somewhat surprisingly turned into a very insightful and quite objective observer of elections since leaving the White House, and has also proven himself to be a fine writer. Read his commentary on Obama’s nomination. The good, the bad, and the ugly are all there, and almost everything he says looks on the money. Read it all the way through before commenting, and I’m pretty sure you’ll agree.

I consider Karl Rove a very sharp political strategist. So I am not "surprised" by the WSJ article; I think he has always been this way.  To be successful I am assuming he would have to project the party line in public but be quite objective as an adviser in private. I don’t think someone like Rove could be as successful as he has been for the most part by not weighing pluses and minuses in making decisions.

Honestly, he did so little media before leaving the White House it’s not too easy to find him speaking in public before that, but when he did he usually came off as far less of the partisan monster people so often ascribe to it; James Carville and his wife are far more extreme in that way, for example.

He’s simply very, very good at dispassionate analysis of what it takes to win or lose a major political campaign. I would expect this kind of analysis from him, wouldn’t you?

Well…Karl was booed on the stage at Iowa State University and it’s not a wonder.  This is the republican party wonder boy who can and will find the dirt on you if it exists..and will create it if it doesn’t ..to me, that is what the republican party stands for..robbing the poor to feed the rich, sending boys off to wars that benefit the rich, raping the environment for their own greed…the list is endless not to mention cronies like Rove who is the most unpatriotic person to exist.  He didn’t like the fact that we didn’t find weapons of destruction in Iraq but rest assured…he won’t be indited for exposing a CIA agent during any republican presidency..a CIA agents wife of the man who uncovered the truth.
He’s a man that will go to extremes to get what he wants…what he thinks is truth and fact.  He’s scarey and the people who follow him are scarey to.
