Democratic Voters Want Race To Continue

Interestingly, it appears that contra most pundit assumptions, most Democratic voters want the nomination race to continue.

Honestly, that makes sense. I think those who are afraid the ongoing race is going to damage the party are basically being sissies. The Democratic race has, in fact, been remarkably positive and civil by historical perspective.

Odd that the first question is listed by "Obama Supporters" and "Hillary Supporters."  Isn’t it likely that Hillary supporters and some small fraction of Obama supporters want the campaign to continue?

Spoke to the 87 year old mom last night. She and Big Sister’s family are still hoping that Hillary somehow pulls it off. The Rev. Wright thing really impacted my Catholic family, as did Michelle Obama’s arrogant comments. These aren’t evangelicals – they are the typical Missouri democrats that Hillary appeals to and Obama doesn’t.

It’s anecdotal evidence so it isn’t worth much. Still, it surprised me.

They both basically agree with each other on most major issues.  But, they each want the golden ring.
