The final primaries are over tonight and no matter what, Senator Clinton cannot overtake Senator Obama. But, Hillary wants to talk about being Vice President.
It is a perfect choice for her. If the ticket loses, she’s the automatic front runner in all ways for 2012. If the ticket wins, she has several realistic paths to the White House (some tragic, some not, but all real) and at minimum gets a spot in the history books that no one else can ever claim, and caps an amazing career in public service with a role that has been expanded greatly by the last few men to hold that office.
*Update*: I see that Senator McCain is aggressively courting her voters. As well he should. This all makes the odds that he’ll put a woman on the ticket very high if you ask me.

If Obama’s smart, he’s not going to appoint her; among other things, her husband is too much of a wild card.
It’s being reported that Obama is likely to offer Hillary the opportunity to serve as (wait for it) health secretary.
Inv A. DeSoda’s last blog post..The Assassination Smear 2
Any cabinet post below that of Secretary of State would be a major step down for her, although given the wind at the back of those who want health care reform it might be do-able. But, it would be breaking precedent (and possibly some laws, I’m not quite sure) to announce that she’d have such a position before the election.
I think she needs to go for broke on the Veep slot and if she doesn’t get that she should simply step aside and wait to see what 2012 brings.
Farewell, Hillary.
The long national democrat party nightmare is over.
Neither,  Hillary or Bill have any ammo left in the tank to control dem party politics.
She may want the VP slot but I’m with pennywit on this one; I don’t think Obama will be offering.
