I've had the Diet Coke bug for years. Interesting bit of trivia, it actually outsells regular Coke and has for some time. The odd thing being, it's formulated quite differently. The disastrous "New Coke" was basically the Diet Coke formula mixed with corn syrup instead of aspartame. Taste tests showed people liked it better when blindfolded, but public reaction was so strong they had to bring the old one back. Which says something about consumer attachment to their brands.

Just be careful. When I quit smoking my one-pack-a-day habit transformed into a Coke Zero habit. Some people just need to kept from mind-altering substances.

JohnD, to take this thread in a more serious direction, you bring up an intriguing aspect of gay marriage.Â

The two partners in a gay marriage can literally switch roles.  Heterosexual partners can’t.Â

So should they? Must they “divide up the responsibilities” 50/50? Is anything less grounds for divorce?

Jay.. Â if Kevin is 'tight' it could be useful for them to switch roles occasionally. Â

heh.. I find those type of guys are mostly like small dogs. Â A hell of a lot of yap, but not much bite at all. Â Oh well, it's great you're cool with the guy. Â That's extremely important particularly while your kids spend time with him. Â It would be really uncomfortable for them and everyone else otherwise. Â You're being a big man about this whole situation. Â

Well, if Kevin is to satisfy Dean’s oral fixation, he pretty much has to be pitching, right???

I was also going to tie in the horking up goop line, but I’ve thought better of it.  Dean’s Mom might be reading.

Ah, he's all right. He's just the hyper-protective type who thinks testosterone shows are cool. I dealt with all kindsa guys like that when I was repossessing cars. You can't let it get to ya, and mostly I like the dork. ;-)

Kevin's tight in a pinch? Â Hmmm.. maybe you guys should consider reversing roles then =P

Anyway ya I know what you're saying about the divorce thing. And I would never badmouth your wife. Â I don't even know her and have never conversed with her. Â I was just commenting about Mr. W. Â His manly posturing over the internet is pretty lame to say the least. Â It's pretty easy to be tough behind a monitor. Â I had a good laugh at his posts though. Â Pretty typical for the most part.

I let Kevin pitch on alternate Saturdays. He's tight in a pinch. :-)

More seriously, I just don't read that blog (ironic, since I helped create it), although I get periodic updates from friends. No offense to my ex-, but I try not to talk about her or to let people trash her or trash anything that appears on her blog. It'd be nice to see the same in return. When I catch people badmouthing her here, I clamp down on it fast. There's just no reason to have that stuff go on, y'know? Divorces are hard enough as it is. Especially on the kids.

heh.. well played Dean!

For some reason I picture Kevin being the pitcher in the relationship. Â Particularly after how he defended you against Mr. W (who btw seems to be a total dork). Â The defense was very 'becoming.'
