The Obama campaign is actually right here.  The New Yorker is trying to be coy — west-side liberals presenting what their vision of how the rubes of America think of Obama.

Myself, I think Obama is good man, perhaps the best thing to happen to the Democratic Party. Likely, he will be President, if not in ’08, soon.

But, I’m still voting for McCain, because he’s better on the issues and he’s earned it.

As a member of the right I knew in my heart that Obama is actually a closet Muslim.

Didn’t know Michelle Obama liked guns – assault rifles in particular.  Intriguing.

And it’s long since been established that the Obama family burns flags to keep themselves warm at night.  No real revelation there.

I did not notice any arugula.  I think the image is worse for it.

Despite the cover, the article is pretty good. Obama, at first, was not a product of the Chicago machine (he was an outsider), but after he lost a Congressional race to Bobby Rush, he recalibrated and then he became an insider.

The rest is history.

There’s no other way to get elected in Chicago and stay in office for more than five minutes. It just doesn’t happen.

I hope Tom Wolfe gets a cut of the artist’s commission.

Hank you just succinctly pointed out the biggest dilemma in the voting booth for me this election.
