See, glad I asked. I thought you meant how do you, wearing a tent, ogle women? (Like "last night I shot an elephant in my pajamas...") Which would not have been entirely random. I was/am totally with the main drive of that post. It is only that a reader of my post linking to this one asked me to point out a technical detail: the gal in question, one Emmanuelle Chriqui, is the daughter of Moroccan Jews and was raised in Montreal, Canada.

How do you ogle someone through a wall?

When you wear 50 layers of clothing to cover yourself, it’s hard to be ogled… in that way.

P.S. the niqab is making a comeback there. The rumors of scantly clad women living the dream are not false per se, but a half truth.

Being called a whore for making eye contact with a Westerner would certainly qualify as harassment.

Most any kind of punishment or retribution for not wearing traditional garb, or acting outside the norm of â€œproperâ€ behavior, could fall into that category, I think. Makes me wonder how much of that kind of thing is at play here.
