It's a 2004, last of the C5s. The C6s are very nice but I miss the retractable headlights and am not thrilled about the deliberate effort to move toward Euro styling.

Yeah, it's used. I could only bear to throw so much money into what is essentially a toy (I'm keeping my old car for most driving) but it's only got 11k miles so should be close to new. I had very specific requirements and found them in a car in Nashville which I had shipped to me.Â

Lucy,

Yes-ish. Mine's that same year, model, and color but this is a better photo angle than they had for mine. Shades are prepositioned and ready to deploy!

Wow. I don't even know you and I'm happy for you!  Is that actually a picture of The Car? Nice color. SO much better than the neon yellow ones! You do know you're going to need super-cool sunglasses, right?

The link says they stopped making this on 2004. I've heard of placing an order for a car that hasn't even come out yet, but unless the link is wrong, doesn't it mean you've placed an order and are waiting for delivery of a used car? Or are Corvettes in such demand that there really is a waiting list even for used models?
Regardless, I sure wouldn't kick it out of the garage for leaking oil.

Looks like fun! It may not have been such a bad financial decision - I think I read somewhere that Corvettes have the best resale values.

I drove a friend's Porsche once - the difference between a well-built sports car and a regular car is amazing. We were zipping along switchback roads like it was nothing

I’ll never trust your judgment on any topic ever again. (I’m a fanatical Mustang guy)

Actually, congratulations. Its amazing how happy (and silly) something like this can make you feel.

May your increased carbon emissions bring you great pleasure!Â

Well, maybe not with it, but probably in it (the roof comes off). And it definitely produces a reaction in women.

That's a nice car. But can you have sex with it?

... you probably could.

That car has everything!
