Yeah, but, that Moses guy is a Republican.

But he’s dead.  Which is probably how many Democrats like their Republicans.

Is it now a requirement to be president that you have to be able to part the Red Sea?

Well, Mike, that’s a start…..

No, apparently one year as a U.S. Senator is all you need. Whoda thunk?

Red Sea-parting powers are a perk of office.

Water into wine comes with age and experience.

Yes, that means all parties at the White House under an Obama Administration will be B.Y.O.B.

the second one especially is remarkably ineffective.  the entire ad is simply preaching to the converted.  starting off by implying obama’s supporters worship him like moses (or something), and then following up by asking, seemingly out of nowhere "but is he ready to lead?"  i don’t know, is he?  why or why not?  the ad doesn’t even attempt to address the question beyond the fatuous "no." at the end.  if you weren’t already in the bag for mccain, what does this ad do other than make mccain look sort of dumb?

I’m not in the bag for McCain, I will not vote for the man, but I thought the second ad was kinda funny.

Funny to one is stupid to another.  Such is the nature of humor.

Kevin,

I’m not saying it wasn’t funny, I definitely see the humor in it.  I’m just saying it’s not persuasive.

Persuasive to who, Zach? You’ve already decided to support Obama. The ad is not going to be persuasive for you. The real question is whether this ad, in combination with other ads and the media, will be effective at drawing doubts about Obama amongst undecided voters.

Speaking of doubts, it’s looking more and more like Obama might be the Danny Almonte of this years biggest game.
