I’m sorry to hear about that rape at 14. It takes an honest and forthright woman to admit to anything even close to that, and I respect you all the more for it.

I don’t know which of your kids were born as a result of it. But once you bonded with that infant, and enveloped him or her with a mother’s love, then you never could have wished you had taken an abortion.

I will freely agree that one of the key problems with abortions is that sometimes a women who undergoes one will internalize a lifetime of guilt for having taken that choice. Getting rid of an unwanted embryo or fetus is not exactly like having a wart removed or a wisdom tooth extracted. Because the human brain and emotional system is not hardwired to bond with and protect warts and hurtful teeth.

In any case, I hope that whichever one of your kids came to life that way, survived the years between then and now, and that he or she built and is enjoying a good life.

As far as Sarah Palin, I believe she is a breath of fresh air and she does speak for me on several issues.  I do not like to take debate on the pro life issue but will tell my story and how I was raped and impregnated at the tender age of fourteen and chose life.  I also think being a christian is not the only group of women that chose life over abortion and this article was good to read.

All that notwithstanding, I think Governor Sarah Palin represents the heart and soul of the great American nation. I like the way she gets right to the heart of the matter on her issues. I like her courage, her tenacity, the way she fights her battles through to the finish.

And I identify with the governor, her working class family, and the fact that one of her children joined the armed service of the United States.

And that has to be more important to me than Roe v Wade.

So when the occasion arises for the first american woman to take the oath of office for the presidency of the United States, I hope it will be Vice President Sarah Palin who will be on the steps of the Capitol in Washington, standing before the chief justice of the United States.

If womens’ rights mean anything, then they have the right to be equally considered for the leadership of our country. We want the best leadership for our country that emerges, from the palms of San Diego and Key West and from the pines of northern Maine to the high mountains and tundra of great Alaska.

Is she a fresh face and a stranger to Washington and its beltway? The more so the better.

With that observation of what ‘feminism’ is actually all about in mind, it’s much less surprising to notice how ‘feminists’ have brought about more and more abortion, divorce, dysfunctional families, and blighting of children’s lives, among other specific consequences.

Always keep in mind that ‘feminists’ have repeatedly demonstrated that they care far more about women than they care about children.  ‘Feminism’ is not about equality; egalitarianism is about equality.  ‘Feminism’ is about institutionalizing the prioritization of women’s interests over those of men AND CHILDREN — not just putting women first, but making sure that doing so is the default priority of both the public State and the private Citizenry in general.

I.e., exactly what they ignorantly and incorrectly accuse men of having done throughout history.

What this does is equate a pro-abortion stand with "support of women’s rights" so that NOW (and people who parrot NOW’s statements) can present anyone who disagrees with NOW’s radical pro-abortion stance as someone who believes women should be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen (particularly on voting day).

This is a disturbing statement and reveals the real mindset of modern "feminists". If you don’t agree with them, you are anti woman. This is the new Left. If you disagree with them, you are not just wrong, you are evil.

Sarah Palin is an obviously powerful woman who has risen as high in the ranks of American politics as any woman ever has. To suggest that she did so while pursuing a personal and/or public policy of reversing woman’s rights is infantile. Which is not surprising considering the source.

When it’s Obama, a man left of center, they speak in noble phrases and aspirations about shattering racial stereotypes and smashing glass ceilings. (A good thing, in my view.)

Ditto for Hillary.

But when it’s Clarence Thomas, a man right of center, they say, Hey, he’s not qualified. All the lofty uplifiting rhetoric and nobility of purpose is quickly forgotten.

Ditto for Sarah Palin.

Bottom line: Sadly, I conclude, that "women" and "black" organizations, in practice, advocate for liberal women and liberal blacks only — which is not a good thing.

That’s what they really meant to say. Seems to me that a woman that makes it to the Governor’s office at the age of 44 isn’t exactly a role model for being "anti women’s rights".

Not all men are masculinists, so things even out.

But at least around the part of Wisconsin where I  bought property and settled in some 32 years ago, the men and women alike come to resemble butterballs on legs by the time they cease being teenagers, and stay that way the rest of their lives. So they look neither masculine nor feminine. In short, the unisex of the era of beef, pork and chicken three times per day, accompanied by cheap and abundant corn oil.

As for how all that affects their politics and attitudes of womens’ rights vs mens’ rights, it is hard to say. But I imagine they don’t much time on such abstract concepts. The preoccupations of the folks I’m thinking about comprise stuffing their faces with yet more food, followed by laying about on couches and watching their football and basketball heroes stuggle on television.
