I wouldn't want to break any bad news but just what is Obama-level political natural ?

Like Obama somehow set a standard and Sarah Palin gets a free jump into his political cookie-cutter. Obama is the totally programmed candidate. Rarely does the MSM quote him on his talks while campaigning except for perhaps a ten second sound bite.

That phrase, gaah, reads like the back of a shampoo ingredients label minus the AWAPUHI or as the labels reads:

quote:

[A-VA-POO-HE], the famous ancient hawaiian ginger known for its conditioning benefits.

Then again, that is what this election is about, right ?

Conditioning or is it the shampoo ?

It's a pretty good article. I don't agree with a few things in it, but she has some pretty good points.
Waoh, I agree with you Martin! I'm just going to laugh today over all the garbage ;-)

I've thought since I first heard him that Obama is a good orator in the classical sense of the word, i.e., he doesn't say anything BUT he does it well (like the speech itself is what is important). I've noticed sometimes he goes into a classical preaching-cadence. Palin seemed to talk rather naturally and to communicate by connecting to the audience.Â

Today I've heard repeatedly protests that she didn't really say what she was going to do, what policies she was promoting; she is not going to be Pres, McCain is -- I expect McCain to state his goals today/tonight and it was not her job to do so prior to him.

Obama is trying to steal McCain's thunder tonight, giving the first free-format interview since he screwed up the dabate, and I think he has made a mistake. Either McCain will have a good speech building on Palin's and it will short circuit the Obama interview OR McCain will tank and all anyone will remember of tonight is Obama -- giving McCain a free pass and an opportunity to make it up without anyone remembering his failure to capitalize on a success the day before.

Only there could people make the straight-faced claim that the media is biased in favor of conservatives, and then cite Atlantic writers as proof. It happens elsewhere, as well.  I also think that is one of the silliest claims that is made in liberal circles.  I didn't hear Chris Matthews claiming he got a thrill going up his leg" last night...

I have gotta learn not to read the comments at The Atlantic. Only there could people make the straight-faced claim that the media is biased in favor of conservatives, and then cite Atlantic writers as proof. Now I have a cognitive dissonance headache. (That's like an ice cream headache, but without the ice cream.)
