I have voted republican, I have voted democrat, - I am not stuck on a party, and not controlled by deceptive media tricks.  I do not care about the age, race, gender, or sexual orientation of the candidates.  I had so much respect for McCain until recently. That is just me - speaking for no one else.

Letterman found great comedic material in the revealing McCain's Lie.  The truth that Letterman joked about, proved that McCain "Straight Lies".Â

That matters to me - respectfully, it only proves that he will like about big things - if he lies about such little things.Â

He showed no respect for Barrack - a fellow citizen and peer.  There is no reason for such disrespect.   I say again, that is typical posture for a liar.Â

<strong>cardeblu if that does not bother you, Okay...We are in the USA and you have that right to embrace that kind of behavior as well as display it.Â

Yu-Ain: Yep. The only mild surprise was the negative about Vice President Cheney. The comment appears to be targeted at Democrats who have supported McCain in the past, nothing more.

I guess we'll see if Gina81 posts another comment. This was her first comment ever here, and using an odd name too since you can just use a real name here and I doubt we have 81 other Ginas. If she does, and answers our questions forthrightly, that'll say something. Maybe we've just made a mistake and she really is a concerned independent voter or whatever, and didn't realize her message looks exactly like those left by fake commenters that have been linked directly to the Obama campaign's publicity agency.

So what do you say, Gina81?

Annie,

not sure if this is what you're referring to, but Obama referred to the moderator, Jim Lehrer, by "Jim" several times. This confused me for a second the first time it happened. But I didn't watch much of the debate (too frustrating), so for all I know Obama really did screw up McCain's name though it strikes me as more than unlikely.

Yep, just like the pattern Ace of Spades HQ found:<blockquote>The script-- <em>1. The Pledge
</em><em>2. The Turn
</em><em>3. The Prestige</em></blockquote>Gina:
1) I actually Liked McCain and have since 2000.
2) But last night I just saw a grumpy man who couldn’t look Barack in the eye, not once.
3) Obama proved himself likable, while McCain showed how contemptous he was.

Always three steps.

You can tell a lot about a person, not by what they say but by what they do and how they act. Obama proved himself likable, while McCain showed how contemptous he was. I actually Liked McCain and have since 2000. But last night I just saw a grumpy man who couldn't look Barack in the eye, not once. There was one other man who never looked his opponent in the eye, and that was Dick Cheney. You don't believe me, then youtube past television debates. You'll be suprised how McCain's body language compares.

CAJones: So McCain is just like you, so you don't want to support him? Odd way of thinking.

You aren't actually suggesting something so racist and hateful as to believe that you're saying something insightful about other voters instead of just yourself, are you?

<em>"I will vote for the Magna Cum Laude Harvard Law Grad - intellect over experience. I will not be fearful of someone just because they are different - which is clearly what McCain wants - I’ll vote for someone who has actually been among the average people."
</em>
I could go into more detail about other things in your post, CAJones, especially the part about Letterman. You do understand the difference between entertainment and news, right?

Anyway, regarding your last statement I highlighted above, I would much rather have someone who has the experience, knowledge, and wisdom on how to deal with reality, not some intellectual twit who wrote not just one but two autobiographies.  BHO is big on change. I wouldn't mind a change, either, but the Chicago political machine is not the right way to go. It's a step backwards, not just different.

And as far as you voting for "someone who has actually been among the average people," well, good for you! I know Sarah Palin will be glad for your support. I am.

The fact is Obama is overly cautious about appear as a "Angry Black Male" or maybe a "Angry 1/2 Black Male" even though there is nothing average about him. - I am sure he has been advised not to appear angry - but it is not serving him well at all. He is missing obvious key areas of weakness in his attempt to stay on the "high road". McCain did well. He seemed knowledgeable - it bothered me a that he was resultant to look at Obama. It was an intentional Dis - and that disrespect, arrogance and willful disregard could cost him because we need leaders to address their opponents not shirk them, and leaders who will show respect to their peers as well as their constituents. Moreover, his behavior is typical posture for a liar. I decided after watching Letterman that I know enough not to trust McCain's "Straight Talk". For me, he straight up lies. The announcement to suspend the campaign (which he did not do) and not attend the debates was an insult to the American people - to blow off a mere 2 hours crucial to the issues…as it the eitire economic nightmare could worsen without his mere presence. I feel McCaiin gave more performance than "straight talk".    Personally, I can not look past that kind of behavior. If McCain lies blatantly about the reason he can not make a television show, something relatively trivial - he would lie about anything that served his purpose. It also serves as another reason to question his judgment, didn't he realize that it would likely be found out...or does he just not care since he gets away with liing and rash decision regularly? What I reconfirmed is that McCain is a master at being flippant and a master of snide remarks. That does not a president make.I will vote for the Magna Cum Laude Harvard Law Grad - intellect over experience. I will not be fearful of someone just because they are different - which is clearly what McCain wants - I'll vote for someone who has actually been among the average people.

McCain reminded me of Foghorn Leghorn saying "get away from me boy, ya' bother me."

Yet he also addressed him as Senator Obama, did you notice how many times Obama misspoke McCain's first name?"Â He called him Jim, Tom and at one point I think he called him Bob.
