LIMBAUGH: These polls on how one-third of blue-collar white Democrats won’t vote for Obama because he’s black, and — but he’s not black. Do you know he has not one shred of African-American blood? He doesn’t have any African — that’s why when they asked whether he was authentic, whether he’s down for the struggle. He’s Arab. You know, he’s from Africa. He’s from Arab parts of Africa. (September 22nd)
In other ODS news, Obama is the anti-Christ, helped murder Christians, wants to burn Jews, and is treasonous. (via Steven Waldman)
As a public service to any jafis reading this, let me quote Nostradamus:
Out of the country of Greater Arabia Shall be born a strong master of Mohammed,
He will enter Europe wearing a blue turban.
He will be the terror of mankind.
Never more horror.
Dude that is SO totally Obama. He’s already got the turban.

I’m not sure why this is "ODS" when Rush appears to be mocking Democrat voters who won’t vote for him for thinking he’s black rather than Obama for being Arab. He’s actually defending Obama.
As for whether Obama is Arabic rather than “african,” I’m not sure why it would matter (except to people who don’t want to vote for him because he’s supposedly black), but there is certainly some evidence this is true (e.g. Arabic surnames, typically used to divide the two in Africa).
I’m not sure anyone knows for sure. Anyway, as Rush says, it is just splitting hairs.
It would be somewhat ironic, though, to elect the descendant of slave traders and have it hailed as a victory for the descendants of slaves.
The anti-Christ link is to an article about an ad that ran on the internet. I thought the ad was having a bit of fun at Obama’s expence (especially considering his quotes in the video). I did NOT get any "he’s the anti-Christ" vibes from it at all.
As to the link about him helping murder Christians, Obama supported and campaigned for a guy who apparently was involved in such violence. The article never said "Obama helped murder Christians" – maybe the book does, I don’t know.
Here is the headline from the link about burning Jews:
Obama site: Jews must be ‘burned’
Anti-Semites congregate on candidate’s official presidential campaign blog
As you can see, it doesn’t say Obama wants to burn Jews but that anti-Semites are congretaing on his campaign blog. The article also acknowledges that Obama staff removes offensive and inflammatory articles.
The only thing from your treason link using the word treason is this sentence written by the author of the article:
Also, it bears repeating that here McCain is basically accusing Obama of treason.
That is THE AUTHOR’S opinion of what McCain is doing by merely questioning his judgement in Iraq and that he seemed to be in favor of failure in Iraq in the name of getting out soon.
Guys, at this point you should know that any page Aziz links to is not accurately characterized by him. My thought is that Aziz believes he can just overwhelm people with enough links that they either won’t go there or won’t read in depth and will just trust him. It’s quite dishonest and scummy but business as usual for Aziz.
Aziz needs to move back to his own country, Chicago.
Do you know he has not one shred of African-American blood?
Of course not. His father came from a country that borders the Native-American Ocean.
Of course not. His father came from a country that borders the Native-American Ocean.
If you get technical, he doesn’t have African-American blood since neither his father nor his mother were African-American. His father was African but not American.
He IS an African-American but he has NO African-American blood.
He IS an African-American but he has NO African-American blood.
No, he’s an American. Let’s get away from this PC hyphenated crap finally. The only people who deserve to use a hyphen are people born with dual citizenship like my Japanese-American ex-gf who was born to an Army Officer Father and Okinawan Mother on an Army base in Okinawa.
No, he’s an American. Let’s get away from this PC hyphenated crap finally.
I actually agree with you. I was using the terminology to make my point, but I don’t like it either.
EVERYTHING is ODS to Aziz because he has 8 years of insane irrational behavior by his ideological clones to excuse in any way he can.
Just as liberals were DESPERATE to hang the "liar" tab on any Republican they could after Clinton was impeached for lying, they are now equally DESPERATE to hang the "derangement" tab on anyone they can to excuse their own obscene behavior.
It’s classic projection psychology. It’s almost textbook.
CosmicConservative’s last blog post..And the winner is?. Joe the Plumber!
One could say that accusing the Democrats of rationalizing 8 years of insane behavior away is also a projection.
If you get technical
I suspect that was what Limbaugh was doing, to make the same point. If I’d been listening I could probably be fairly sure that was what he meant, since in transcript the interrupted reiteration does leave room for doubt.
One note, it isn’t us Jafis (and proud of it, Thankyouverymuch. I am afraid of Islam not Muslims) who quote Nostradamus; it’s the BDS-sufferers (remember the "village idiot" constantly being applied to Bush?).
Aziz,
I really like you. I think you’re a cool dude. But… I think you’re really bending over backwards to create ODS and make it fit. It’s just not working. If Obama gets elected then maybe you’ll have a chance, but not right now.
Got news for you Kevin, nobody will have to invent reasons to have ODS. It will be a nationwide phenomenon that likely, even the MSM will contract. The ruinous consequences of illadvised tax increases and out of control spending growth making people wistful about the good old days of the 1970s will have that effect on people.
The silver lining in an Obama presidency will be that 2010 will make the 1994 midterm elections look like child’s play.
PS – Sorry, but Aziz, you come off looking like a fool. The ODS nonsense may play well to the nutters at Daily KOS, but at a minimum, have enough sense to consider your audience. You don’t actually think there is ANYONE reading this site that isn’t already an Obama supporter that is being swayed by your foolish links, do you ?
Aziz,
This is pretty weak. Again your characterizations don’t match the actual content when the links are followed.
I mean this isn’t like an NAACP local chapter president calling the McCain as KKK member chasing Obama with a bat "friendly" that is still ignored.
As I said, anyone who thinks the alleged "ODS" that Aziz keeps "finding" is even REMOTELY comparable to the incredibly vile insane garbage that has been hurled at GW Bush over the last eight years is either a fool or so blinded by partisanship that it is pointless to try to reason with them.
Or both.

deadrody:
Maybe an actual case of widespread "ODS" will break out in the way you suggest. Certainly I believe that Obama’s economic policies are some of the most naive socialist drivel I’ve seen in years, and I tend to agree with a growing legion of economists and financial experts who believe that if Obama actually follows through with those naive plans in the face of the most compelling financial problems we’ve suffered in fifty years that we could be on the verge of a hard recession (I hope not "depression").
But does that mean that protesters in the streets across the country will be calling Obama a "murderer" and running around with "Obama is the real terrorist" signs while others parade around with "A village in Illinois is missing its idiot" signs in front of the poster showing Obama with shark-teeth dripping blood all over the words "Obama lied and people died"…
Somehow I don’t think so.
Unless he manages to piss off the hard Left that is. Then all bets are off.

Oh, by the way, the story that started this whole alleged "ODS" and "Hate speech at McCain Palin rallies", the supposed incident where someone yelled "Kill Him" when Obama’s name was mentioned….
Isn’t True.
Gee, why do you suppose someone would make up such a story? Hm…… A desperate need to pin derangement on the right? Even to the point of making up lies?
No, never could happen, could it….
Nice to see the press investigated this story thoroughly before printing it. You would think they could have, oh, I don’t know, asked one of the Secret Service people there before printing it as fact…. But that wouldn’t fit the narrative would it?
CosmicConservative’s last blog post..And the winner is?. Joe the Plumber!
CC, thank god the incident wasnt true. Thats about the best news I have heard all day.
(apart from the battleground polls, that is)
Paul, Kevin, consider that that we are already seeing a heightened level of vitriol above and beyond mere political campaign attacks directed at Obama – that billboard is probably the best example, agreed – and Obama hasn’t even taken office yet. I think it’s going to get much worse, and drawing an arbitrary line about derangement syndrome severity here or there is missing the point. The point is that this election, like in 2000, is a single decision point, after which everyone needs to accept and Move On. There were many who couldnt do that in 2000, and there were still a few in 2004, but for the most part that sentiment has dampened (though give even the far left credit – sites like Daily Kos outright refused to allow any speculation about "stealing Ohio" etc on their front pages). With Obama, the vitriol resembles the growing Bush DS and worse, because now there’s this racial element to it. The potential for damage to our national common civic identity is much greater. And te way in which this ODS is getting entrenched – and the denial about it – does not bode well for people "moving on".
I have a lot of confidence – more than most, in fact – about the viability of our political system. I see the 2000 election as proof of the health, not the sickness, of it. But I have a bad feeling about the trend I am seeing develop here and my purpose is to point it out, highlight it, so we are aware of it and can take action before it gets out of hand. All that is needed is for people of decency like yoruselves to agree that some of this is out of line, that theres a problem. That alone will do a great deal in preventing it from getting as bad as it could be.
It’s quite dishonest and scummy but business as usual for Aziz.
there’s that enlightened conservative discourse again.
And I am indeed a canny character – I am cleverly including links to be clicked on, thereby preventing you from finding out what lies behind them! bwahaha!
truthfully, my intention is to provoke debate here. I think that the links do speak for themselves and I will happily encourage you to actually read them yourself. That is kind of the point. If you find this business of "web-surfing" and clicking links too tiresome, then there’s always the television. Or the next post down.
truthfully, my intention is to provoke debate here.
Well, that‘s all Malkin and all the other "Jafis" were trying to do by calling (which they didn’t) for "rounding up" of Muslims; they’re just trying to spark debate! Oh sure, they might lie and misrepresent things to the advantage to their side; they might slander and libel their opponents intentionally causing anger which might spill over to violence but they’re just trying to provoke debate.
Please, Aziz, if you’re going to behave like a scumbag please don’t pretend you’re acting like fair-minded debater.
Aziz is not behaving like a COMPLETE scumbag Scott, and if you aren’t careful you’re going to get the Hyperbole Police after you too, and believe me, that’s not fun, nor productive.
Aziz is, I believe, doing exactly what I am describing and what I am seeing more and more from the Left these days. As Bush’s tenure wanes and they are losing their favorite target, many of them are trying to justify their near decade of complete derangement by creating artificial derangement on the other side.
And who knows, it will probably work, just like it worked to paint Bush as a war-mongering frat-boy moron.
The sad truth seems to be that all you have to do to convince the American people of something untrue is to scream it loud enough and long enough. Libs have certainly figured that out.
My favorite example is how the Left has managed to get every pro-Life figure in the country labeled as "Extremist" when every poll shows support for pro-life to be virtually tied with pro-abortion. Still, Sarah Palin is an "Extremist" because she shares the viewpoint of some 45% of Americans. And you KNOW she’s "extremist" because the Left simply won’t stop screaming about it. They have mastered the technique.
CosmicConservative’s last blog post..And the winner is?. Joe the Plumber!
CC- I changed it from "complete" to "acting like". It’s amazing to me that the Krazy Kos Kids and people like Aziz practice the exact same tactics they (falsely) accuse their political opponents of using.
I mean, look what’s happening to Joe the Plumber.
Also-
The sad truth seems to be that all you have to do to convince the American people of something untrue is to scream it loud enough and long enough. Libs have certainly figured that out.
No, all they have to do is convince the media talking heads that it’s true and the majority of the American people, being humble, will shrug and say either "what do I know, it’s their job is to know the facts" or "I shouldn’t create waves" and go along. But if you sit them down privately say over lunch they’ll tell you they think that what they say about Bush is a bunch of BS.
Scott:
It’s a fairly well-known aspect of human nature that people tend to blame others for the things they do themselves, whether the other people do it or not.
It makes sense, most people tend to judge situations by fundamentally asking themselves "what would I do?" Plus there is a powerful catharsis involved in exonerating yourself by believing that other people do the same thing or worse.
CosmicConservative’s last blog post..Toon of the Day?
Nostredamus may have spoken so fearfully of Islam because he lived in the century when the Otoman Turks (not the Arabs who were by now subjects of the Sultan) reached the walls of Vienna. The Turks had already  taken Constantinople and most of the Balkans and all Christian Europe was trembling. Â
Incidentally, I do believe that not only the Bill of Rights but Title VII of the US Code bans discrimination based on race , religion , sex, etc
Even supposing that Obama were Muslim (which he is not), does that automatically disqualify him to run for office?
