I’m glad I’ve made you happy, but I think you may have misunderstood my argument.  When did I ever say that Republicans are unusually angry and violent?  I have consistently said, all along, that such things are just part of extreme partisanship.  I’ve never said that Republicans are worse; if you can find an example of me claiming that, I’ll bake cookies and send them to you.  Of course both sides do it!  You and Dave, however, have consistently claimed that Democrats are worse.  You may not have said Republicans don’t commit violence over their beliefs, but you have claimed that Democrats do it more often.  If I can match every story of a violent Democrat with a story about a violent Republican, you’re right that it demonstrates both sides behave this way.  This was my point all along.

However, I will admit you have a point that it’s a shame that the story about the assaulted McCain supporter isn’t bigger news.  I’ll be curious to see if it gets some play over the weekend.

What I find humorous is how you have completely validated the arguments that I and Dave and others have made which you have attempted to refute up until now.

To pull an "angry Republican" story out now to offset the numerous deranged Democrat stories simply proves our point.

None of us EVER SAID that Republicans don’t do it. WE said that BOTH SIDES do it, but the press only gives one side of it.

So when you now point out that both sides do it, you’re halfway to our side.

Now all you have to do is realize the story about the Democrat physically assaulting a McCain/Palin supporter is not on the front page of the MSM outlets and you’ll be all the way.

Frankly I’ll take the halfway for now. Nice to see you came that far.

That’s terrible. I hope he’s prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and I hope his innocent victim recovers fully. However, I also hope they prosecute this peaceful, reasonable McCain supporter for threatening to kill election officials when his voter card was delayed, because he needed to keep the nigger out of office.

Here is a fairly typical treatment McCain/Palin gets, from a story on Halloween costumes, the headline was simply "Spooky politicians" and the photo? Sarah Palin.

I mean it’s gotten downright hilarious how in the tank the MSM is. You can’t even parody it anymore.

How about this? An actual criminal assault filed against an Obama supporter who physically attacked a McCain volunteer in New York, breaking her sign and hitting her in the face with the stick?

"…a real district attorney’s complaint documenting an unprovoked assault by an enraged Democrat against a McCain volunteer in midtown Manhattan: “Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant’s face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant’s face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain."

Well, I guess it’s just a formal complaint so far. We’ll probably need to see what the jury says, right?

You wanna bet we don’t see this on CNN’s main web page like we saw the false “Kill him” story? How much you wanna bet? How many “the Left has gone violent and enraged” stories do you think we’ll see? Zero? That’s about right.

I’ll let Dave respond to how you are characterizing his arguments and intent with a clarification if he wants to.

I doubt we’ll see anyone dig into the story to find out if its true or not. The MSM doesn’t want to keep such a negative liberal story in the news, and the right has no incentive to do an investigation that might prove it to be untrue. So I suspect this one will remain unproven. But I could be wrong.
