Wow a judge ordered her to leave the country and this has gone public before she was deported? We must have very terrible law enforcement. Why is it the media finds out these startling conspiracies before law enforcement does? Perhaps other people in this country are looking for facts.

Seriously, if this is what the McCain campaign has to go on it’s going to be sad for them in 2 days.

This aspect of the conspiracy makes little sense. Why not simply return her donation proactively rather than risk a liability? It’s not like they’ve been hurting for money. It’s almost certain that no one on the campaign knew about her even being in the US and the whole point of the story is that no one (including “opposition research”) knew her immigration status before someone in the government leaked it. That’s the whole reason the leak is under investigation in the first place: it wasn’t public knowledge.

Obama is a lousy judge of people if he’d hire someone (like Axelrod) who would screw Obama’s own family.

It seems to me that it’s highly likely that the Obama camp did "opposition research" on itself in order to be able to prepare responses for anything that might come up.Â That’s SOP for campaigns these days.

It’s highly likely that they already knew about the aunt.

I just saw on NBC that the campaign has returned the aunt’s contribution.Â The aunt should have known her status would be uncovered as a result of the election furor, but apparently she has no political savvy. And it seems that if Obama had known, he would have tried to resolve the issue so it wouldn’t bite his butt later. I don’t blame either of them, but I do think it’s fair game to report this stuff. The liberal illuminati needs to expect this!!! I guess they don’t because they’ve gotten off so easy with the MSM.

I feel like I’m taking crazypills here.Â

It was the right wing media and the McCain campaign that made "Joe" a major talking point… but apparently one that it’s simply illegitimate for the Obama camp and Democrats to ever respond to, despite nearly EVERY element of "Joe’s" media bit being total hokum?Â Give me a break.Â If Joe didn’t want to become part of the campaign, maybe he should have asked McCain and Fox and friends not to make him part of it.Â And he probably shouldn’t have done so many press conferences and campaign appearances.

I agree with Andrea about leaving daughters, uncles and aunts out.

I should clarify my earlier opinion.

I don’t think Obama had any personal involvement in burning his aunt.

My criticism of him is that he’s so hesitant to judge character that he would hire someone who would burn his own family.

You are absolutely right John B. but if it had been Obama’s daughter the one pregnant out of wedlock, the entire republican machine would be questioning his leadership because he could not even manage his own family.

But it is ridiculous. I particularly found all the attention on Palin’s daughter pathetic as well. We have an economy in severe distress, a national debt that makes me cringe, and two wars

Hey, Andrea, I think the Palin’s family values are just fine, thank you.

It’s hardly as if a 16-y/o with raging hormones never got knocked up before, even from ‘good’ families (and I’ll let you define ‘good’). It happens; teenagers are teenagers.

What’s really ‘family value’ about this instance is what happened afterwards. No rush to the abortionist; no hiding the kid with relatives; no shunning the kid or turning her over to the state as a delinquent child.

The family value thing was standing by the kid and not making a bigger deal of it than it was.

The family value thing was abhorring the sin, not the sinner.
