I’ve got a kid I’ve discovered who’s got amazing talent as a video editor, but he needs a microphone. Nothing Professional Sound Studio Quality, but something to allow you to do basic voice recording that’s better than a phone conversation or those cheap microphones you get on an Xbox.
I bought myself a perfectly acceptable one a year ago for about $25 that’s USB and would be more than the kid needs (and he could have mine, but I actually need it). I just don’t have $25 handy right now.
And no, I AM NOT PASSING THE HAT, please do not think I am asking for monetary donations. I’m just wondering, among the many computer geeks out there in Dean’s World, does any of you have a semi-decent, USB-based mic or mic/headset that’s collecting dust that you could send to this kid for me? Maybe you bought a Mic and realized you really never use it, or it even came with your computer and you never use it and it’s just SITTING THERE? A talented youngster with a lot of creativity in him could use it.
He uses an iMac, but, if it’s USB-based I am 99.999% sure we can get it to work no problem. We can probably throw you some postage if you need postage.
