As they say, the victor writes history. The victor, in this case, is LGF. His is the definitive account but the MSM is still powerful and will do whatever it can to write the history they want.
As for what protection we had, I’d have to say time. Time will erase the passions of those involved and allow for a dispassionate account of the real events. You’ve said that history will remember Bush as a good President. I agree with you. But that means that time must pass until the real story is allowed to be accepted. I think our grandchildren will get that story.
I have written several commentaries  regarding the media and public education that in my opinion are failing at their main purpose…that is to educate, to inform. I have linked Deans World to lightfootletters.vox.com as an effort to continue to defend the liberal traditions. Your efforts are appreciated.
