I didn’t vote for him, but so what? This is a great day for America, and humanity as a whole.

I agree Dean. This isn’t the first time I’ve been proud of our country, but it is A time. I didn’t vote for him, but I afford him the respect due the office and promise that unlike the insane Left I will not hate the man even when I disagree with his policies. And I will give him the benefit of the doubt just like I have every President. I assume he has the best interest of this nation at heart.

Good luck and Godspeed Obama.

The hype is way overblown, and the collective swooning is really kind of getting to me.  He’s just a guy in short pants, dammit.

But where symbolism is concerned, of course it’s a huge deal.

Now, let’s see what he can do with it.

Regardless of who would have won this election, there’s always something pleasing about that new President smell!

Jrogge…

..eeewww you can do all the President sniffing you like.

I’m pretty sure you didn’t feel that way 8 years ago though…

Actually I did believe it or not! I don’t usually start really disliking a President until about a year or two. I like to give ‘em a chance to screw up first.

Something about the fact that power HAS TO BE transferred in this country makes me feel giddy. I love this country. :)

I should also add I voted for Bush in 2000! Why? Because I couldn’t stomach Al Gore being the President. Think of all the global warming BS we would have had. Also, Tipper was much to blame as well. The FCC can stick their “Parental Advisory” sticker up their collective asses!

That doesn’t mean I liked him. I just thought he would be harmless. Boy do I regret that!

Electing a black man (with a middle name of Hussein to boot), whose father wasn’t even born here, is big, big, big, big, deal.

  I’m happy about that!

  God Bless America.

Electing a president who has no other accomplishments or relevant experience, solely because of the color of his skin, is a disgrace. It is a step backward, not progress.
