October – the wackiest month

Ever since the 8th it’s been amazing!

As you’d imagine, not much in the way of BEEG news goes on in rural Arizona, but the weekend of the 8th that story about the people in the sweatlodge in Sedona hit, and it’s been one thing after another ever since. My daughter-in-law, who was in radio news until she “retired” to raise the kids (and still maintained her contacts just in case) was sending me e-mails right and left. Meanwhile I was surfing the net, finding video, and posting like mad! Here’s the most recent – seems we’re not done quite yet. I’m actually up to #9 News Examiner in the country for the weekend!

But wait – there’s more! I’ve been volunteered to talk about domestic violence and promote the Domestic Violence Examiner on radio. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be doing a buncha programs. There are two of us doing it, the other person is Ron Foster, coordinator for Men and Women Against Discrimination. I’ve got two programs tomorrow to start off:

Oct. 20

Andy Caldwell Show
http://www.calchronicle.com/ac_show.asp
KUHL/KSMA, Santa Monica, Calif.
3:30 pm PACIFIC time, 30 minutes

The Clash Radio
http://clashradio.com/audio.html
8:30 am ET
10-12 min.

I think after this month is over I’m going to need to go out and camp in the desert for a couple of days. Whew!
