Most people don’t realize that the widely-publicized domestic violence programs/shelters only serve a tiny minority of the taxpayers who support them financially. The Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men and Women tries valiantly to take up the slack, while being frozen out of public funding. They exist primarily on private donations, and so try everything they can to fund their truly helpful program, that is free of any political agenda.
