With all due respect, I believe you are comparing apples and oranges here, Dave. You’re almost pushing the Man on the Moon Fallacy, in fact.

Also, I think it is the President’s prerogative to ask for a better answer. I actually find that refreshing. There is something very intelligent, in fact, about asking the question, What exactly are we propping up here, and why? (Remember Vietnam, and stuff?)
