New Public DNS Server

It looks like Google is offering a new free DNS service.

I wonder if it’s really any better than the already-excellent OpenDNS, which I’ve been using and recommending for its simplicity, speed, and reliability for years?

It doesn’t try to correct your spelling or search for keywords like OpenDNS does if the domain is not found. For some purposes, that is a feature. I will probably switch to it.

I have never used one of these, but John Gruber says he is switching. I don’t agree with him politically, but he knows computers.
