This one goes out to every candidate or elected official who thinks holding a “safe” partisan seat makes you immune to the approval of the voters.

Bill Quick is right (via instapundit) — in the wake of Scott Brown’s victory, we should be supporting serious candidates to contest every race.

We should be looking at the local races, too, not just Congress and Senate races. Not only do today’s schoolboard members and city councilors have a huge potential effect on our day-to-day quality of life, but they’re also tomorrow’s candidates for higher office.

Republicans have every reason to be pleased and excited and to celebrate. And Democrats would do well to be gracious in defeat this round.
