Secretary General Clinton?
Dean
There is a rumor floating around that Bill Clinton would like to be Secretary General of the United Nations. This is almost certainly just one of those rumors being floated in order to excite the Democratic base (just like some rumors circulate to excite the Republican base that are equally nonsense, like abolishing the income tax).
It's an intriguing notion, mind you. Clinton would be perfect for the role in many ways. But Eric Erickson explains why it ain't gonna happen, period.

Would have interesting possibilities, not all of them bad, though.
And for posterity, I am an avid supporter of the Fair Tax iniative. The only reason people think it is a fantasy is because they've lost the concept that they can actually make a difference in their world and think there's nothing they can do.
Bill Clinton would really help future children if he would go home to his good ole state. There is where he had many people that thought he did a great job while he was in office. Then Clinton went on to become the POTUS! He is surely a handsome fella and sure did get some pretty girls flirting with him.
The temptations of a man that has money, good looks, well dressed, great sense of humor and man,... can he draw a crowd with his great speeches and debates. Goodness me, he draws women to his side and some drool at the very sight of him. It is every man's temptation. A pretty young girl comes around and bats her pretty eyes and well, even an older woaman and capture a man such as Clinton. It is really kinda hard to ignore, real hard...honestly ask any man.
He has a pretty wife and he would go home to her. Something went wrong, and the roles got kinda turned around there and the pretty wife started wearing the pants so to speak. That is all fine and dandy except when the wife forgets just how good looking he is and how he is trying to be the leader in the household. He is trying to protect her and his children. She takes him for granted as may have happened with them, and how other women see him completely different because they are looking at his persona.
I know a really beautiful actress, Connie Selleca. She has long dark hair, pretty blue eyes, beautiful skin and a dynamite figure she works at daily to keep herself feeling good emotionally and exercises and meditates due to stress everyone of us endure on any number of issues. She is a mother and her husband is really handsome and very talented and gets a lot of women lusting after him, John Tesh. He was a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight and left to persue his talent of playing the piano and to capture his ladies heart. Trouble is the women were getting to be a bit too much for the Mrs. One day she called him when he was on tour and he was sitting in an eatery somewhere and was laughing and having a great time with his fellow musicians. He picked up the phone and she heard him joining in and was flirting with the waitress along with his buddies. Hey, that is natural. Jimmy Carter said he lusted in his heart.
Nope, Connie Selleca listened to him and then she hung up quite abruptly. He tried to call her back and she hung up on him. Anytime he called, she would say I have nothing to say to you I will see you when you get home! When he got home a few days later, she had his bags backed. He was stunned and then he looked into her pretty blue eyes, forgot all about himself, listened to her voice and her fear and in that moment realized he had hurt her because he violated her trust. He was truly sorry and told her he had never thought of how it hit the core of her security. He was deeply moved and with the bags backed he then lost his security. He said he had never felt that terrible in his life and did not want to lose her and her respect and the respect and love he had for his children.
They went to marriage counseling with a man name Gary Smalley. John Tesh is a fine example of a man and his daily temptations along with Connie Selleca his wife. When I saw her at one of his concerts holding their daughter it brought tears to my eyes hoping someday...
President Clinton is an outstanding motivational speaker, he did some great things while he was in office, afterall he was there eight years. I no longer care for Hillary like I once did because I feel she did just as much to bring her husband down. It is 100=100 in a marriage and having mutual respect for one another. Look at what just happened to Arnold, the Govenor. He was candid and honest and said Maria had him sleep on the couch. Now, that you gotta love because truth is truth and nowadays we want to know the nitty gritty of sexual encounters to the degree that it turns me stomach. I do not want to know who my single son sleeps with and I do not want my daughter's life to be broadcast. Geesshhhh, I am old fashioned! I wonder if anyone remembers why young girls that went to a catholic school could not wear...black patent shoes! It's really quite sweet and innocent and afterall young girls are innocent little creatures.
Since Clinton lost his ability to practice law and his wife is a senator now, I believe that library he Erected would be a fine place for him to be head librian thereby helping children learn all about politics and what he did that was wrong and help them to grow into great leaders.
Gee, that was rather a bit of fantasy for me wasn't it? I still think Bill should check out a book called, "The Hokey Pokey", it's a great dance where you put your right hand in and your right hand out, you put your right hand in and you shake it all about...that's what it's all about! He put his hands upon somethin'...well, a couple of somethins', and now it just seems to be a good idea to me.
Silly silly me, and my old fashioned days gone by watching Disney fairy tails...
We are glad, too.
Yours,
Wince
Besides, unless they repeal the income tax amendment from the Constitution, the Fair Tax would probably eventually be used IN ADDITION TO the income tax and not just INSTEAD OF.
